Hello friends and family ~

A few quick updates to help you arrive prepared and comfortable:

Getting Here: Driving up Century from Bend, the “Elk Lake Historical Site loop” sign is NOT the entrance to Elk Lake Resort. Drive past that sign; the next left is the resort entrance.

Weather: Forecast highs in the upper 60s–low 70s and evenings/mornings in the 40s to 30s. Please pack layers for cool temperatures.

Dress code: Friday is casual, beach games and a BBQ. Saturday is more elevated; wear something celebratory and mountain-appropriate, and consider sensible dancing shoes.

Accessibility: Some paved paths exist, but much of the site is bark chips or gravel. We’ll have access to a golf cart, please get in touch with Kenny or Nicole before next Saturday if you need assistance.

Pies: Thank you to everyone bringing pies! Please drop them at the big event tent Friday evening during dinner, label the bottom of your dish with your name or bring something disposable, and feel free to help with serving.

Bar: Elk Lake Resort does not allow outside alcohol within the event footprint. Friday night we’ll provide two drink tokens per guest (including nonalcoholic options); after that it’s a cash bar (wine is free). Saturday night is an open bar.

Lodge Amenities: There’s no on-site grocery store, plan to shop in town. The lodge will not offer full breakfast but will have coffee, an espresso bar, grab-and-go items (bagel sandwiches with ham/bacon/sausage, veggie on request), vegetarian egg bites, plain bagels with cream cheese, and assorted fruit. The lodge does have a great lunch menu!

Registry: Your presence is the greatest gift. For those who asked, we’ve set up a honeymoon fund to help us start our next adventure.
