We want you to feel comfortable and festive. Please keep in mind that we will be up in the mountains, so we suggest planning for warm days and cool nights. We can send updates once we get closer to the weekend.

Dress Code

Getting to Elk Lake Resort<a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/c7YLdji2euKWZNdf6" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Elk Lake Resort</a> is approximately 30 west miles of Bend, Oregon. FlightsPortland International Airport is 3.5 hours drive time to Bend and 4 hours to Elk Lake. Redmond Roberts Field Airport is 20 minutes drive time to Bend and 50 minutes to Elk Lake. Eugene Airport is 2.5 hours drive time to Bend and 3 hours to Elk Lake. Ground TransportationThere are many car rental options for driving up to Elk Lake. You might also consider renting an RV if you want to camp (see Where to Stay).

Travel

One of the reasons we chose this spot is that it is convenient for all our favorite outdoor activities! <a href="https://www.elklakeresort.com/marina" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Elk Lake Resort</a> rents kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards, and pontoon boats. You can also book the lakeside sauna. Note: If you want to access the nearby wilderness areas, you will need to get a day use <a href="https://www.recreation.gov/ticket/facility/300009" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">permit</a>. These sell out quickly! We will work on some group activities as we get closer to the date. Reach out to Kenny or Nicole if you want to help organize something!

Where to Stay

Dear friends and family, We love the humans you have brought into the world and into our lives, but Elk Lake is a small venue and we made the decision to prioritize our closest adult friends and family. We realize that not bringing your kids might create a hardship for you, so please reach out. We can look into babysitters and having on-site kids have their own supervised activity for the wedding ceremony and dinner. Dogs are welcome at Elk Lake Resort, but we ask that you leave any pets at your camp or cabin during all wedding scheduled events.
